Meet Sarah Lazarewicz, Your Trauma Therapist
Serving Minneapolis & St Paul and the Twin Cities
NARM Master Therapist & Somatic Experiencing Practitioner | MSW, LICSW
I’m a trauma therapist, social worker, an activist, a lover of poetry, and a deeply curious human.
In life and in session, I’m driven by a deep, joyful curiosity - to understand people and the world we live in, to get to the root of things, to go deeper. In my years as a therapist and a fellow human, I’ve learned that making space to understand our wounds and be present with our tender parts, can open the door to what makes us feel most fully alive. The more time I spend as a therapist, the more and more awed I am by the human capacity for growth and transformation.
“In the universe,
there are things that are known,
and things that are unknown,
and in between, there are doors.”
— William Blake
Why choose to work with me?
Have you ever been in a therapy session and wondered “what are we doing here”? Like neither you nor your therapist knew where you were headed?
Many of my clients share that they have felt unclear on what they are doing in therapy, and sometimes felt like past therapists “let them off the hook” around challenging their patterns.
I am a depth therapist, meaning I will ask you to get to the root of what is causing issues in your life. Together we will reflect deeply on what barriers stand in the way of having what you most desire. Some of those barriers might be inside yourself.
While I am gentle in my approach, you can expect me to be 100% here for your growth and transformation. This means I may challenge you when I see you getting in your own way.
My values:
What’s it like working with a therapist like me?
My work with clients is focused on first building a genuine relationship between us. My clients reflect that they appreciate my “realness” and my ability to deeply listen. I use curiosity, playfulness and my own authenticity to help you explore your heart’s desires.
I use a modality called NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model).
NARM is a depth oriented approach that helps us get to the root of issues that may be coming up for you cyclically. We will also get curious about how the things you’re struggling with are connected to childhood. Often needs that went unmet in childhood continue to surface in the struggles and challenges we run into as adults. So we’ll take a deep dive into the past and get curious about what it was like for you as a young person, so we can help you move into the fullest, most adult version of yourself
I view myself as your co-conspirator and will accompany you in looking into your own depth with kindness and curiosity.
